Description

Painted Ilimba dimensions: 12.25″ x 12.25″ x 2.75″. The resonator box is made with Red Cedar; Design painted with Acrylic Paint; Bridge is Purple Heart Wood, Iron and Steel; Head Piece is Goat Skin; Holding Strap is Cow Leather. There are 30 Hand Forged Spring Steel Keys including 15 Sympathetic Keys. This Ilimba has a big, rich deeply resonant voice with a special tuning I’ve dubbed “Gregs Knew Tooning” which has a Tanzania/Wagogo flavor.
