Dimensions: 16″ x 16″ x 12″. West African Ivory Coast Goat Skin is tightly stretched on a Basswood frame with wood glue and Upholstery Tacks. This type of Drum originates throughout Africa and Sikko is a West African name. A floating inner frame with wooden wedges is improvised for tuning. Steel Guitar strings are attached across the skin near the bottom as an optional snare sound. This can be turned on or off by positioning the pieces of Nylon Rope under the strings. The foot of the Drum facilitates it to be played while tied around the waist with the strong Nylon Rope. The sound is strong Drum and can be articulated with one hand and one stick as depicted in the photo.
